E L I Z A B E T H C
I’m a constant, fervent reader who has the habit of completing novels in a few hours as well as abandoning horrific novels mid-sentence. When beginning this review site, I wondered whether it would be alright (namely, ethical) to voice my true opinions about the books I read. Would a scathing review be too harsh? Would it be crass and distasteful?
But a site filled with flattering, soothing reviews that hid what the novels truly impressed upon me would not help anyone – least of all readers – and wouldn’t even lend credence to the novels I actually did find amazing.
So there you have it. If some of my reviews offend you, please don’t take it personally (especially if you’re not the author). I do it to maintain balance in my review world, and none of it is meant as an attack on anyone. [Besides, I must mention, it's my site.]
I read voraciously, whether it be book, e-book, audiobook, or online content. I also volunteer at librivox.org, lending my voice to create free audiobooks of works in the public domain. I’m currently in pursuit of a Kindle to further my reading adventures during all possible hours of the day.
Current In-Between-Heavy-Novels Reads:
Animorphs Series by K. A. Applegate (nostalgia galore) and Mrs. Pollifax Series by Dorothy Gilman (audiobook version).
Besides reading, I’m a singer/songwriter, a writer, an editor, a student, a tutor and a daydreamer. I can often be spotted in coffee cafes, where I spend early and late hours studying for classes, writing up these reviews, listening to an audiobook, or reading a new novel.
For anyone wishing to contact the blogger, suggest a book to review, ask for a particular novel to be made into audio format, or simply have a nice chat, send an e-mail to extensive.reader | at | gmail.com.
